Nevis Range Downhill

In the summer season when there is an evening event and the Nevis Range gondola is open the downhill track is open to Wheelers members between 6.30-8pm.  Downhillers must provide their own back up and first aid and there should be an accompanying adult with youngsters.  All marshalling and safety provision should be provided by club members.  Remember walkers may be using the track.  There is a special discount and members must have their membership cards and if you have one, a season ticket.  You can ride multi trips for a single trip price.

Evening riding for 2009 will be posted here in early summer.

Downhill discounts and opening times

The track should be open from 9 may 2009 year until the 13 September and as last year is open for longer hours.  You can now ride from 10.15 until 4pm except race days or when the weather is too windy or wet.  Your Wheelers membership gets you a discount on multi trips and some single trips, but you do need to show your membership card every time, because the ticket office staff can’t be expected to remember everybody.

Nevis Range Downhill Second Track - it will be an intermediate 'red' standard like the World Champs route in the forest.

The new red track should be open from the middle of May.  There is lots of board walk on the upper section - all painted with non slip paint.  This bridges the wet areas and then there are built track sections in between.  There are great views from the ridge and the track will come down to the puggy line allowing you to decide if you want to descend to the carpark or head out over the Stolen bridge onto the Witch's trails.
